Collaborating for the Young Generation in the Mekong Region (CYM ) is TVS’s regional program, launched in 2004, which aims to empower young generation in the Mekong region to aware of socio-economic and political trends facing their societies in order to play active role in developing civil society.
CYM collaborates with various local NGOs to promote volunteer training and placement, facilitate creative learning process for the youth, supporting young intern to exchange ideas and experience across countries and promote closely cooperation among NGO to work together for young generation. CYM currently covers Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Burma, China and Thailand.
Vision
A strong regional youth network, able to critically analyze regional economic development in Mekong region in the globalization main stream and to support community-based development in different contexts of each country.
Mission

Activities
• Voluntary Organizing
Primarily focus on organizing and supporting local volunteer projects in the Mekong-region countries by applying TVS’ experiences in different social contexts. Common goals and commitment have been built up among partnerships to develop young generation for the society through voluntary program.
• Creative Learning Process
Common culture of people along the Mekong River is the key in addition to the similarities of problems and context that can be shared and learned from each other through study trips, youth camp, seminar and GNH international conferences.
• Internship
The Internship activity, aims to support the learning, exchanging and developing process of youth, as well as collaborating among the young generation in the Mekong region.
• Networking
Linking among youth partners are needed to facilitate better understanding to set up to the common goal of regional development through medias such as website etc.
