Volunteer Action
Here at Thai Volunteer Service (TVS), we define ‘a volunteer’ more specifically as meaning a person who firmly intends to (physically and mentally) contribute him/herself for social development, especially for disadvantaged and marginalized groups in society.
Features of Voluntary Work at TVS
We provide an opportunity to people who wish to work for society to gain experience of development work. By working with TVS the volunteer has the opportunity to develop their understanding of both the ‘on-the-ground situation’ in a community and the problems of disadvantaged groups in society.
Through working with appropriate NGOs and spending substantial time with the problems/issues that interest them, the TVS volunteers have the opportunity to develop their capacity and commitment to the disadvantaged in society.
